These terms govern the use of the Exceed Maths website and the Exceed Maths tuition programme. Please read them before you sign up. By signing up, enrolling or using this website you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Exceed Maths is a trading name of Cheze Grinds Ltd, a company registered in Ireland.
| Company number | 795060 |
| Registered office | 8 Radharc an Ghleanna, Ticknock, Cobh, Cork |
| Contact | info@exceedmaths.ie |
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Cheze Grinds Ltd. "You" means the parent or guardian entering into the agreement, and "the student" means the child enrolled on the programme.
2. What we provide
Exceed Maths is an online tuition programme for Leaving Certificate Maths. It includes two live group classes each week, chat support from tutors, a pre-recorded concept library, an exam boot camp in video and written form, weekly homework with videoed solutions, monthly assessments, monthly performance sessions, and a recording of every live class.
We may change the timetable, teaching staff, platform or the way a component is delivered where we need to. If we make a change that materially reduces what you receive, we will tell you and you may end the agreement under section 8.
3. Signing up and enrolment
You sign up by completing the form on our website and paying through our checkout. A contract begins when your payment is accepted and we confirm the student's place by email.
Completing the form without paying does not create a contract and does not hold a place.
Places in each class group are limited. If a group is full when you sign up, we will offer you the next suitable group or refund you in full. We may also end an enrolment under section 9 where we do not believe the programme is the right fit for the student.
Signup must be completed by a parent or guardian if the student is under 18. By signing up you confirm you have authority to enter into this agreement for the student.
4. Fees and payment
Our fees are shown on our website and at checkout before you pay. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. There are no joining fees, exam fees, materials fees or other extras.
You choose one of two plans at signup:
- Monthly. A recurring subscription charged every month until you cancel. Payments continue automatically on the same date each month.
- Yearly. A single payment covering the full academic year, taken once at signup.
Other terms that apply to both plans:
- Payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details directly with Stripe. We never see or store them.
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any change to your fees. If you do not accept a change you may end the agreement before it takes effect.
- If a payment fails, we will contact you. We may suspend access to classes and materials while an account is in arrears.
To cancel a monthly subscription, email us as set out in section 8. Cancelling stops future payments and does not refund payments already taken, except where section 5 or section 6 applies.
5. Your right to cancel within 14 days
If you are a consumer, you have a legal right under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 to cancel a distance contract within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason. Because you sign up and pay online, this right applies to every signup made through our website.
If you ask us to begin providing the programme during that 14 day period, and we do, you may still cancel, but we may charge you a proportionate amount for what was provided up to the point you told us. If the programme has been fully provided within that period with your express agreement, the right to cancel is lost.
To cancel, email info@exceedmaths.ie with the student's name. We will refund any amount due within 14 days of being told, using the same payment method.
6. Refunds outside the cancellation period
Outside the 14 day period, fees already paid are not automatically refundable, as places are limited and holding a place prevents us offering it to another student. If you are unhappy or your circumstances change, contact us. We deal with refund requests reasonably and on their merits, and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
7. No guarantee of results
We do not guarantee any particular grade, points total, exam result or college place.
Results shown on our website and in our advertising are individual student outcomes shared with permission. They are examples of what students have achieved, not a promise of what any other student will achieve. Outcomes depend on the student's starting point, effort, attendance, and factors outside our control.
Nothing we say about the programme, on the website, on a call, or in our materials, is a guarantee of a result.
8. Ending the agreement
If you are on the monthly plan, you may cancel at any time by emailing info@exceedmaths.ie. Cancel at least 7 days before your next payment date and no further payment is taken. The student keeps access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
If you are on the yearly plan, you may end the agreement at any time by emailing us. Outside the 14 day cancellation period in section 5, refunds are dealt with under section 6.
You may also end the agreement immediately if we make a change that materially reduces the programme, or if we are in serious breach of these terms and do not put it right within a reasonable time.
9. Conduct and our right to end the agreement
We expect students to attend, engage, and treat tutors and other students with respect. We may suspend or end an enrolment, without refund for the period already delivered, if a student or a parent:
- behaves abusively, disruptively or in a way that harms other students' learning,
- shares login details, recordings or materials in breach of section 10, or
- fails to pay fees that are due, after we have contacted you about it.
Where we end an agreement under this section, we will refund any fees paid for a period we have not yet delivered.
10. Our materials and recordings
All course materials, recordings, notes, question sets and videos are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright.
You and the student may use them only for the student's own study while enrolled and for any access period we give afterwards. You may not copy, share, sell, upload, republish or distribute them, in whole or in part, and you may not record our live classes yourself.
Breaching this section is a serious breach of these terms and may end the enrolment under section 9.
11. Live classes and recordings
Live classes may be recorded so students can rewatch them. Where a class is recorded, students may appear or be heard in the recording. Recordings are shared only with students enrolled in that class and are handled as set out in our Privacy Policy. If you do not want the student to appear in a recording, tell us and the student can keep their camera and microphone off.
12. Your account and access
You are responsible for keeping login details secure and for use of the account. Access to classes, recordings and materials is personal to the enrolled student and must not be shared.
13. Website use
You may use this website for your own lawful, personal purposes. You may not attempt to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access to it, copy its content for commercial use, or use it in any way that breaks the law.
The content on this website is provided for general information. We keep it as accurate and up to date as we reasonably can, but we do not warrant that it is complete or error free.
14. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, we are not liable for exam results, missed college places, or any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in connection with the programme is limited to the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including internet or platform outages. Where a live class is lost for such a reason, we will provide a recording or a replacement session.
15. Safeguarding
Tutors work with students online. We expect all communication between tutors and students to take place through our official platforms and channels. If you have a concern about the conduct of anyone associated with Exceed Maths, contact info@exceedmaths.ie immediately and we will deal with it promptly.
16. Complaints
If something is not right, email info@exceedmaths.ie. We will acknowledge your complaint and work with you to resolve it. If we cannot, you may be able to use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects you, we will give reasonable notice by email or on the website before it takes effect. Continuing on the programme after that means you accept the updated terms.
18. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. A delay in enforcing our rights is not a waiver of them. These terms are the entire agreement between us about the programme, together with your enrolment confirmation.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the country you live in.
