  • Leaving Cert Higher Level.

What comes with it

The room is the start of it, not all of it

You are in the room for two hours a week. The rest is what keeps the work going between Saturdays.

Notes for every topic

Written up properly, so you are not scrambling to copy the board while you are trying to follow the maths.

Homework every week

Set on the Saturday, so the work carries through the week rather than stopping when you leave the room.

Video solutions

Not an answer key. Every homework question worked through on video, so a wrong answer tells you where you went wrong.

Questions

Before you come along

Is the first class really free?

Yes. Saturday 5 September, 11am to 1pm, no card and no sign up fee. Come along, sit through it, and if it is not for you then nothing is owed. We only talk about payment with the people who decide to stay.

Where exactly in UCC is it?

Room BHSC G.04 in the Brookfield Health Sciences Complex, University College Cork. The G is the ground floor. Brookfield is its own building on College Road, a short walk from the main campus, so search for Brookfield rather than UCC or you will end up on the wrong side of the grounds. We email you the details when you book and again a couple of days beforehand.

What does it cost after the free class?

It runs weekly for the rest of the school year. That is paid for the year, either up front or split into instalments, and it works out at around €30 a class. We go through the options with you after the free class rather than before it.

Is this the same as the online programme?

No. This is a separate class at a separate price, taught in person in Cork. The online programme is a different thing with its own schedule and its own price, so you pick one or the other rather than paying for both.

Should I book ahead or just turn up?

Book ahead. It means we know to expect you, we can send you the room, and we can tell you in advance if anything about the Saturday changes.

Who is teaching it?

Cheze, in person, every week. This is not a class that gets handed off once it is up and running.
